- Use the parent scrollview width rather than the table width to calculate available space; fixes issues with the table width reflecting the previous selected table
- Take account of cell spacing and scrollbar width to avoid horizontal scrolling where possible

which have altered values in the UPDATE query, improving speed and reducing the chance of issues when copying queries or altering rapidly changing tables. This addresses Issue #527; thanks to Tobias Mollstam for contributing a patch which prompted this update.
- Rename SPTableContent's "addRowToDB" to "saveRowToTable" for clarity, and clean up the code for speed and clarity
- Correctly save numeric fields as NULL if the value is blanked

• fixed JavaScript alert and confirm window in HTML output window
| |
- changed the approach to make the HTML output window the key window; now it could be done directly via a JavaScript command: window.system.makeHTMLOutputWindowKeyWindow()
- added the chance to ask Sequel Pro via JavaScript for run-time shell variables via window.system.getShellEnvironmentForName('shell_var_name')
• more usage of constants
| |
- added shell vars SP_CURRENT_EDITED_COLUMN_NAME, SP_CURRENT_EDITED_TABLE for Input Field scoped commands if invoked from a table cell field editor
- added shell var SP_TABLE_DATA_SOURCE (content or query)
- fixed table row change trigger for custom query tableView
| |
- reworked invocation via keyboard short-cut to allow to fall back to General scope
- added chance to redirect the output action via command exit codes; useful if the normal output is an HTML window but an error occurred, now one can display the error as tooltip for instance
- unified file hand-shake file names by one uuid
- made usage of more constants and renamed some shell vars
| |
- fixed issue for commands without assigning a key equivalent
- output table meta data about type, type grouping, length, auto_inc, PRI key etc. for Data Table scope commands and sequelpro url scheme command ExecuteQuery
| |
- for Data Table scope added the chance to specify the handling of BLOB fields (if underlying data are kind of NSData or GEOMETRY) as 'Exclude', 'Include', 'save as image file - the data will be saved as tif file and the path will appear in the table', 'save as file - the data will be saved as raw dat file and the path will appear in the table'; for GEOMETRY fields if set to 'save as {image} file' the representation will be saved as PDF file otherwise the WKT string appears

- make sure that each HTML output window will be released
- if a triggered command will outputs its result in an HTML window invoke it only if the HTML output window is already open; this enables the user to "switch on/off" such a trigger

- from the Activities pane (toggable via double-clicking at Table Information header); it's still tentative and the correct cancel icon will follow asap
• added notification system for updating the activities pane (SPActivitiesUpdateNotification)

- before closing a db doc window kill all commands associated to this doc
- suppress an error message if a bash command was killed via code 9
- added a temporary and preliminary table view to display command activities (double-click at TABLE INFO header to toggle and refresh it - only for testing purposes - it shows all commands started from that db doc and a General command names)
| |
- register running commands for each SPDatabaseDocument or if the command runs via 'General' for NSApp delegate
- kill all running commands before SP will be terminated
| |
- added shell var SP_ICON_FILE
- a bundle command which outputs its result as HTML window will write the data in the same window, ie it won't be create each time a new window; the window will be identified by the bundle's uuid
- fixed issue while saving a short-cut in keybinding.dict format, now it ignores possible diacritics - maybe bug in ShortcutRecorder for method [aRecorder keyCharsIgnoringModifiers] since in the objectValue it's set correctly

- fixed gui arragement
- suppress error message if no ouptut key found in command.plist
• added sequelpro://ID@/passToDoc/SelectTableRows/1/3/4/.. scheme command which selects given rows in current table if a SPCopyTable is the first responder; not valid given rows are ignored
• added SP_SELECTED_ROW_INDICES as passed shell variable for Data Table scope

- bailed out from approach to assign more than one scope to Bundle commands; now there're three scopes available: Input Field (incl. Query Editor since it only differs in current_query and insert_as_snippet which falls back to current_line and tooltip message), Data Table, and General (which means that these commands are available app-wide)
- moved "Disable Command" to scope popup menu since it's related
- Input Field and Data Table commands will be shown as submenus in the Bundles main menu; all General commands will be added without creating a special submenu (only Category submenus will be generated)
- fixed and simplified several issues

- fixed saving and duplicating Bundles if Bundle contains other files/folder
- fixed adding a new Bundle
- added gui tooltips
• SPTooltip
- if no location was passed and first responder isn't a textView show the tooltip at the mouse location
• CopyTable
- show tooltip invoked by a Bundle command always at mouse location
• Content / Custom Query Table
- suppress tooltip of cell content if another tooltip (mainly displayed by a Bundle) is visible [shoudl be improved since iterating through the window list isn't so good]
| |
• fixed selector name in CopyTable for Bundle Editor input action
| |
- improved Data Table input commands SelectedTableRowsAsTab/Csv/SqlInsert, TableRowsAsTab/Csv/SqlInsert
• fixed issue for Copy with Column Names: removed ?\020last appended tab in header line
| |
- further simplifications and centralizations
- runBashCommandWithEnvironment: now it can execute each script command whose first line begins with #!/... natively
- added some more shell variables
| |
- added skeleton for scope datatable support
- removed unnecessary code

- a possible given selection done inside the edited cell will be passed to the field editor sheet for convenience since one often forgets that the field editor sheet mode is active

current table cell; this makes it rather convenient to navigate and edit cells via keyboard or mouse for each mode (field editor or incell); the sheet will be ordered out if user tries to modify the current cell if set or blob
| |
Query table
- it will call [self editColumn:0 row:[self selectedRow] withEvent:nil select:YES]; to invoke the incell edit mode, if user tries to modify it the sheet will be displayed if set; further improvements will follow
| |
- fixed issue for tab navigating if the table is already in the edit mode
- !! FOR SAFETY reasons disabled enter/return/tab enters the edit mode !! to avoid crashes until we found a better solution due to the non-waiting field editor sheets

- Prepare for the implementation of PDF and HTML export by hiding the export options box for export types that don't need it.
- Fix some spacing issues on the export dialog.
- Create a new SPCategoryAdditions header that is included in the apps precompiled header, making all additions available to all classes.
- Update strings files.

- added not yet supported MCPGeometryData view
- removed @try clauses, instead make usage of pthread_mutex_lock etc. approach
• adjusted autodetectWidthForColumnDefinition: for SPCopyTable to calculate the width by taking the WKT string of MCPGeometryData
• added SPGeometryDataView class which will be used for displaying GEOMETRY data as image (for tooltips, inside field editor sheet) [not yet implemented]

some column definition approaches
- instead introduced a new MCPKit class MCPGeometryData
- up to now the spatial data will be displayed as hex bytes - work on it will come soon

single function in each class
- Tweak NSTableView subclasses to catch presses of the Escape key and ask the class to abort row editing. This makes Esc key behaviour much more consistent, and allows cancelling/reverting edits made via the mouse (eg checkboxes, dropdowns, enums), or after the cell editing has finished but the row is still selected.
- Remove debug
- Update localisable strings

avoid the trampoline exceptions
• unified error message while cell editing
• in Custom Query table cell editing errors are displayed as tooltips and added these message if edit event comes from the keyboard
• fixed: check edit status in Content Tables only for views to avoid unnecessary queries
• used [SPCustomQuery fieldEditStatusForRow:andColumn:] consequently to simplify code

with extended characters in MySQL identifiers (names of dbs/tables/cols):
- Move encoding queries and control into MCPKit, with newly cleaned-up methods, and switch a number of locations to using the new code.
- Use UTF8 connections for many identifier-based queries (selecting and listing databases, tables, stored procs, table information). This fixes selection and creation of table and database names containing extended characters, also fixing exceptions and errors.
- Improve UTF8 over Latin1 to correctly set the client character set encoding as well, fixing custom queries and edits; remove custom code in SPTableContent achieving the same thing in a single location.
- Fix database encoding detection routines
- Update localisable strings

data in Content tables
- now each cell can be selected via keyboard navigation regardless whether it's editable or not; only if the user tries to modify it then it will be checked if it's editable or not - for speed while navigation
- fixed issue for view data editing to show blobs in editor sheet if user wants to modify it
- Note: still work on progress

since we need that for Content and Custom Query table; only class specific stuff like ESC trapping will handled in the actual class
• enabled in cell editing for Custom Query tables
- also added spreadsheet button to Custom Query status bar
• fixed ESC trapping: F5 can be used for completion
• simplified [SPCopyTable keyDown:] for trapping ENTER/RETURN key
• some code cosmetics

[aString appendString:[NSString stringWithFormat:]] by
[aString appendFormat:]
since it's much more faster
• first look at loop where several [aStr appendString:] occur to try to combine them into one appendString or appendFormat since the allocation of memory takes really time
Note: I tested all my changes but we should test it further to be sure that I didn't a mistake!
